November 2nd, 2024, was an unforgettable night for Ottawa’s design and construction community, as 760 industry leaders gathered at Canada Hall in the Rogers Centre for the 41st annual Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA) Gala. With a fun, upbeat urban graffiti theme, this year’s event was a celebration to honour the best designers, builders, and construction professionals in Ottawa across 54 categories.

It was a record-breaking year with 232 finalists and 369 entries, of which Laurysen had an impressive 13 finalist submissions. One of the night’s big winners, our team walked away with five awards—a true reflection of our excellence across a wide range of categories.

“We’re very, very happy with the results,” said Corey Laurysen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He added that the diverse wins across kitchens, bathrooms, and design styles “really represents us well and shows what’s possible with Laurysen. It doesn’t matter what type of project it is; we can find a solution.”

Corey also expressed his pride in the entire Laurysen team, emphasizing that these awards are a testament to the quality of craftsmanship, innovation, and attention to detail that go into every project. “These wins are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of everyone at Laurysen,” he shared. “From design to production and installation, every member of our team plays a role in bringing these projects to life.”

In the kitchen, Laurysen’s custom cabinetry plays a starring role, adding depth and character to the British-inspired interior. The rich custom Polo Blue-coloured cabinetry is beautifully accented with brass mesh inlays, creating a luxurious feel, and hidden panels help maintain a cohesive look. Thoughtful details, like clever pull-outs and a double-drawer dishwasher on the warm birch island, ensure that the space is as efficient as it is beautiful.
